A. J. Muhammad, Librarian in the NYPL Schomburg Center's Jean Blackwell Hutson Research and Reference Division.  A. J. is also one of the organizers of the The Fire This Time Festival, which provides a platform for talented early-career playwrights of African and African American descent to explore challenging new directions for 21st century theater.

Cecily Marcus is Principal Investigator at Umbra Search, and Givens Collection of African American Literature Curator, University of Minnesota Libraries.  Umbra Search African American History makes African American history more broadly accessible through a freely available widget and search tool, umbrasearch.org.
